The Woodlands Hills Youth Foundation was founded in 1975 as a 501(c)(3) corporation. This foundation focused on provided programming for inner-city youth boys. In 2020 the name of the corporation was changed to Affordable Home Foundation Inc (AHF) and the purpose shifted to provide affordable home ownership to low-income and unhoused families. AHF continues as a 501(c)(3) corporation and has a nine-member board of directors.

AHF sold its first house in 2022 and currently builds and sells two houses a year.
