Affordable Home Foundation's goal is to build houses that families of modest means can afford to own. There are several ways in which we have found we can cut costs and pass on the savings to the buyer.

The lots are purchased from Jackson County Land Trust. The cost of the lot and the Title Certificate is about 20% the appraised value of the lot.

The purchase and installation of four mini splits save about $5,000 in comparison with installing a central air system.

A metal roof is installed which is about half of the cost for labor and materials compared with a typical asphalt composite roof.

Some materials are purchased through over stock auctions which can provide a substantial savings.
